Asian American Community Services (AACS)

Provides a variety of services for the Asian community:

    • After school and summer tutoring and mentoring programs for Asian Americans in grades K to 12, including educational, ESOL and college prep activities
    • Family Support Program (counseling) for victims of bullying, domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and hate crimes
    • 24-hour interpreting / translation services
    • Computer and English classes
    • Career and college development workshops
    • Free health clinic and Hepatitis B testing

Community Refugee & Immigration Services (CRIS)

Serves refugees, asylees and immigrants in central Ohio by providing the following services:

  • Free employment counseling, skills training and job placement help
  • Services for new refugees for the first 3 months of their arrival in the U.S
  • ESOL (English) classes and translation services
  • Immigration legal programs, including help with citizenship applications, notary services, visa extensions, green card applications, immigration photos and work authorization
  • Counseling and support to limited English proficient (LEP) people who are victims of crimes or trafficking
  • Health and wellness programs

New clients are seen on a first-come, first-served walk-in basis during open immigration intake at the east office. After paying an initial fee, clients can meet with one of the lawyers.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Franklin County

Helps abused and neglected children in need of a powerful voice to speak up for their best interest. CASA volunteers are appointed by the court to advocate for children and help them obtain a safe, permanent home.

Ohio Youth Advocate Program (OYAP)

Offers counseling services for children and adolescents in foster care and parenting classes, outpatient counseling and community-based psychiatric support treatment. They also provide sex offender treatment services for youth and in-home programs for teens with aggressive or violent behaviors. They take foster care referrals and help connect foster children with resources in the community.  Please call the 24-hour central intake line for details.

The Center for Family Safety & Healing

Fully addresses all aspects of family violence including child abuse and neglect, teen dating abuse, domestic violence and elder abuse.  They offer a continuum of research-based prevention, intervention and treatment programs for individuals who have experienced family violence.
