Asha Ray of Hope

Connects victims of domestic violence in the South Asian community with help and resources. They provide interpreter and transportation services as well. Victims can call the free, confidential hotline for help and support.

Asian American Community Services (AACS)

Provides a variety of services for the Asian community:

  • After school and summer tutoring and mentoring programs for Asian Americans in grades K to 12
  • Counseling for victims of bullying, domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and hate crimes
  • 24-hour interpreting / translation services
  • Computer and English classes
  • Career and college development workshops
  • Free health clinic and Hepatitis B testing

Community Refugee & Immigration Services (CRIS)

Serves refugees, asylees and immigrants in central Ohio by providing the following services:

  • Free employment counseling, skills training and job placement help
  • Services for new refugees for the first 3 months of their arrival in the U.S
  • ESOL (English) classes and translation services
  • Immigration legal programs, including help with citizenship applications, notary services, visa extensions, green card applications, immigration photos and work authorization
  • Counseling and support to limited English proficient (LEP) people who are victims of crimes or trafficking
  • Health and wellness programs

New clients are seen on a first-come, first-served walk-in basis during open immigration intake at the east office. After paying an initial fee, clients can meet with one of the lawyers.

Ethiopian Tewahedo Social Services (ETSS)

Helps immigrants and refugees from all countries establish roots and gain self-sufficiency in Central Ohio. They offer job training, English language classes, after school tutoring for children, case management for victims of domestic violence and much more. They provide all of these services through their Youth Programming, Adult Programming and Family Care Department offered at various sites throughout Central Ohio. Ohio Hispanic Coalition

Offers several free services to the Latino community including: homework help, educational after school programs and summer camps; translation and interpretation services, English (ESL) and citizenship classes for adults; and support group for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Provides a variety of services for Somali youth and adults.

  • Free adult English (ESL) classes and after school programs for Somali youth
