WIC & Food Stamps

Franklin County Department of Job & Family Services (JFS)

Provides information about health insurance coverage, food assistance, cash assistance, health care, job training, child care and much more. Offers several food programs, including the Ohio Direction Card / EBT (formerly known as food stamps). Individuals can apply for Medicaid at their local Opportunity Center, based on where they live. Each center serves certain zip codes. People outside of Franklin County should visit their local county Department of Job and Family Services. Refugees and immigrants can apply for services as well.

Women Infants & Children (WIC)

WIC provides formula, foods and breastfeeding support to women throughout Ohio who are pregnant, infants and children less than age 5. They provide vouchers to use at grocery stores. Families can fill out a combined application to apply for WIC, Medicaid (Healthy Start & Healthy Families) and the Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps in Spanish or English.
