Bishop Sullivan Center provides free pre-employment counseling services to low-income people seeking employment to ensure clients are work-ready. We assess work-readiness, and discuss skills needed for an employee to be successful in the workplace, including vocational ability, attitude, dependability, honesty and ability to work as a team member.

Community LINC provides the following job-related assistance to non-resident homeless and at-risk families through outreach programs, Career LINC and Project Care.

New Idea Workplace is a comprehensive package of materials, trainings and consulting that not only allows us to move families out of poverty, but helps businesses get, manage, and keep sufficient numbers of talented, stable employees. Through our corporate placement servcies we provide custom pre-employment training including our UsucceedToday TM workplace skills series, basic computer and customer service skills training.

Full Employment Council

The Full Employment Council is a business-led, private, nonprofit corporation whose mission is to obtain public and private sector employment for the unemployed and underemployed residents of the Greater Kansas City area. The Full Employment Council accomplishes this goal by working in collaboration with business, local units of government, educational institutions, labor and community-based organizations. This partnership responds to employer needs while reducing unemployment, underemployment and the public dependency of area residents.

Jewish Vocational Service

The JVS Rehabilitation Employment Services (ES) assists individuals in learning how to find and keep a job. Consumers are referred to the ES program through the Missouri Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR), Kansas and Social and Rehabilitation Services (SRS) and the Veterans Administration (VA).

As part of our placement service, JVS will help you develop a resume and cover letter, teach you about job applications, practice your interviewing skills, and work with you to find appropriate employment opportunities.

Women’s Employment Network

Women’s Employment Network (WEN) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing women with the skills and confidence to help them achieve economic independence for themselves and their families.
