Together they have developed a shared electronic information network that connects participating organizations to a central database where authorized users can access KC CareLink medical applications using a web browser to share a uniform set of individual patient information (name, contact information, insurance, medical record number, etc.). KC CareLink provides a 24 / 7 resource to safety net clinics, hospitals and health departments in our bi-state metropolitan region.

LINC

School Based Health Clinic
Health care resources (physicians, clinics and hospitals) often are not located where many families live. LINC responded by forming partnerships with health care providers; these collaborations established neighborhood health clinics funded in part by Caring Communities and located within Caring Communities school sites.

MC+ for Kids Outreach
LINC?s outreach efforts have increased health insurance coverage for many children and families under the federal Children?s Health Insurance Program, known in Missouri as MC+ for Kids.

Healthy Classrooms Initiative
The Healthy Classrooms Initiative enables school children to evaluate their own health knowledge and health behavior through a web-based pre-learning and post-learning classroom activity that produces a health knowledge index and health behavior tally.

Dental Clinics
Caring Communities-supported dental clinics serve not only children at McCoy Elementary School and in the Independence School District, but the families of the surrounding neighborhoods as well.
