County Youth Programs plans, develops, and provides services for children and youth. The Doors to Success program works with individuals ages 16 to 24 in areas where the rate of high school dropout is high. The comprehensive model includes outreach, case management, GED preparation, remedial education, job readiness and placement, life skills education, and counseling. The Summer Food Service Program for Children provides nutritious breakfasts and lunches at community sites for children ages 3 to 15. The Outstanding Student Leadership Program involves county high schools in identifying and recognizing seniors considered leaders in academics, athletics, and community service.
