Children’s Legal Alliance

The Children’s Legal Alliance (CLA) is a program of Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, an organization that provides legal assistance to the low-income community. CLA offers free legal assistance to income-eligible children with have special education needs, including representing children at individualized education plan meetings and due process, suspension, or expulsion hearings; ensuring homeless children have access to education; advocating for access to appropriate special education services; correcting inaccurate or misleading school records; and connecting children and families to appropriate mental health or community resources.
