Animal Bite Reporting & Rabies Vaccines
If you are bitten by a dog, cat, or wild animal:
Contact your doctor or local emergency room to treat wounds as needed.
Report the bite to your local health department.

Depending on the type of exposure, may need Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) shots to prevent rabies. The Health Department or your doctor can help you determine next steps.
