Patches of Light

Provides financial assistance for families with critically ill children to help them remain together during hospitalizations and treatments. Funding may be used to pay for past due mortgages, rent, utilities, auto repairs, housing, and transportation costs. They provide phone cards, gas cards, grocery cards, and parking tokens. Applications for assistance must be submitted directly by the child’s current social worker. Social Workers may also apply for HUG Bags, customized care packages that are delivered to the hospital or child’s home. Visit the website to apply.
