Rose Brooks Center
Rose Brooks Center is a comprehensive domestic violence agency that provides a full continuum of care including prevention programming, crisis intervention and other supportive services to thousands of women and children each year.
The Bridge Program provides hospital-based domestic violence advocacy and support. The program is located in six Greater Kansas City Metropolitan area hospitals including
Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics, Research Medical Center, Saint Joseph Health Center, Saint Luke’s Hospital, Truman Medical Center Hospital Hill and The University of Kansas Hospital.
Bridge Program Advocates work within the hospital setting and respond to crisis intervention calls within 30 minutes, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
A Bridge Program advocate meets with the patient privately while they are in the hospital and will
- Listen and support
- Provide legal resources, such as Orders of Protection
- Help the victim and children find a safe place to stay
- Provide support groups and other counseling services
- Provide ongoing support and connection to resources
