Power Of Prevention (POP)
The POP Challenge is where you can pledge to exercise five days a week for 30 minutes per day. You will also receive your POP certificate and go to the President’s Challenge to register for your President’s Challenge Certificate and Emblem once completing six weeks of physical activity. P.H.A.S.E.S. – Preventive Health and Safety Education for Students
Miami-Dade AHEC (Area Health education center) has PHASES Program for elementary, middle and high school students focusing on preventative health and safety education for children and adolescents on topics such as nutrition, cardiovascular health, eating disorders, breast cancer, asthma, skin cancer and bone health. Miami-Dade AHEC provides this program and all accompanying materials completely free of charge to all public and private schools in Miami-Dade County upon request.
