South Bronx United (SBU) is a non-profit organization that offers soccer training to help children build character, teamwork, and leadership so that they can succeed in high school, college, careers, and beyond. The soccer programs at SBU differ depending on the child’s level of experience. However, “Recreational Soccer Programs” are accessible to both girls and boys regardless of level.
– Must be an NYC resident.
– Programming available for children (boys and girls) ages 4-15.

Cada Paso

Cada Paso is a free summer camp for East Harlem residents. It has fun and fact-finding activities about air, climate, and health justice. Families and friends are welcome to attend any day or activity. Activities take place at the Jefferson Park (SE corner picnic tables for drop-off and pick-up) from July 11 to August 4, 2022. Summer Rising

Summer Rising is a free, safe, and fun academic and enrichment program for NYC students currently in grades K-8. It is run by local school leaders and trusted community-based organizations in every neighborhood. Breakfast, lunch, and a snack are served to each student.
— Any student who lives in NYC and is currently in grades K-8 is eligible to apply for Summer Rising 2022
— If a student is a New York City resident but does not attend a Department of Education (DOE) public school, they should apply to a program that is in their neighborhood
— If your child attends a public school in NYC, you can enroll him/her at any location across the city
Activities and Dates
— Academic support, field trips, arts activities, and outdoor recreation
— Programing is from Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm
— Program duration is for six weeks
How to apply
— This year, the new Summer Rising Enrollment Portal will provide one centralized place for families to enroll in a Summer Rising program
— Families will enroll in a single program (they cannot submit multiple applications) and will be able to confirm their spot immediately upon completing the enrollment process
— Registration opens on April 25th, 2022 and ends on May 22nd, 2022

The NYC Parks Summer Day Camp program offers children ages 6 to 13 a wide array of activities for a fun summer. Campers engage in sports, fitness, and outdoor adventures while taking part in many of New York City’s rich cultural and educational opportunities.

Activities and Dates
— Canoeing and fishing with the Urban Park Rangers, tennis and golf hosted by City Parks Foundation, swim classes with Aquatics instructors and fun STEAM programs (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics)

— Cost: $25 per-child registration fee. Full camp fee, (Regular Day $500, Extended Day $575)
