Camp Achieve- Epilepsy

Camp Achieve
Camp Achieve is a week-long sleepaway summer camp for youth ages 8-17 living with epilepsy. Caring Together Program

The Caring Together Program,  founded in 1990 helps women,  their children and loved ones overcome substance abuse and start a new life without drugs and alcohol. The program utilizes a multidisciplinary team approach to treat substance use and mental health disorders along with other issues that may have caused or resulted from substance use. Services available are trauma informed substance use and psychiatric disorder treatment including medication assisted treatment for opioid use disorder, individual and group sessions focused on substance use education, relapse prevention, anger management, parenting, grief and loss, coping with trauma, life skills training and support for family reunification.  Referrals to other services for family member are available.
To participate in the Caring Together Program, women must be 18 years or older. The program is part of the Department of Psychiatry and Drexel Medicine and is located at 4700 Wissahickon Avenue (Wissahickon and Route 1/Roosevelt Boulevard). Children of Incarcerated and Returning Parents Summer Program

Children of Incarcerated and Returning Parents (CHIRP). CHIRP, through a grant from the JAMS Foundation,  offers youth with a parent who is incarcerated or returning from prison an opportunity to deepen their emotional awareness and their ability to manage conflict more effectively. The program gives youth an opportunity to meet and share their experience with others who are in a similar situation.  Through a series of conflict resolution workshops, participants will gain emotional support and skill development while learning productive approaches in managing conflicts. The Parent-Child Home Visiting Program

ParentChild+ works with families with children between 16 months and four years old, over a two-year period. Cribs for Kids (SIDS Prevention)

A program of the Maternity Care Coalition that provides cribs for needy families in Philadelphia to help reduce the deaths due to SIDS and improper sleep environment. Cribs are provided to families who are otherwise unable to purchase one. Dragonfly Forest

Dragonfly Forest is committed to offering children with serious illnesses and disorders the opportunity to enjoy a free overnight camp experience in an environment that is safe, equipped to meet a variety of physical, medical and psychological needs, nurturing, and filled with activities that allow each child to reach their “full fun.” Summer Sessions are available for children with Autism, Persistent Asthma, bleeding Disorders and Sickle Cell Disease.
