Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts

  • Boys Scouts are a great way to get your child involved in positive activities. The Boys Scouts mission is for each child to master “character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness.” For children 6 years-20 years old. Check out the website Boy Scouts for more information.

Camp CAMP

Children’s Association for Maximum Potential (CAMP) provides recreation, rehabilitation, respite, and educational services for children with special needs.

Teen Connection

Teen Connection is FREE and offers a safe, supervised free open gym and active games and sports for teens ages 13 to 18. Click here for more information.

Summer Youth Program
The Parks and Recreation Department offers a quality, affordable Summer Youth Program, where youth find sports, craft projects, active games, art exploration, fitness and nutrition, reading opportunities, and math and science enrichment activities. Community center sites are open to participants ages 6 to 14 and school sites to children ages 6to 12. Swimming opportunities will also be offered for program participants at limited community center sites.
The program runs Monday through Friday.  Lunch and an afternoon snack are included. Fees are based on a sliding scale, according to income and family size.
