YMCA RESIDENCE
Housing Opportunities for men at the York YMCA. SRO units furnished and with a phone in room. Six emergency rooms and Section 8 rooms available. Drug and Alcohol Counseling and Case Management available. SMB and Historic Fairmount Apartments; low-income, Section 8 accepted. Must be able to provide: Picture ID, Social Security Number, Income Information, Bank Account Information, and Verification of Homelessness. Monthly fee is $386 with security deposit of $100. There is a different fee if partnered with the Housing Authority.

York Area Housing Group is a non-profit housing development corporation that has rehabbed/constructed affordable housing units throughout York County. Delphia Management Corp manages approximately 400 of these rental units for low-income families, elderly, handicapped, and disabled persons.

All housing programs are for low-income households.
Home Improvement Program: This program provides financing for the rehabilitation of owner occupied dwellings which require certain improvements to order to correct substandard conditions.
Home Modification Program: A grant program which access home modifications for people with disabilities. This program is administered by the Center of Independent Living Opportunities, Inc.
First time Homebuyers Program: This program provides a forgivable loan for down payment and closing costs to eligible County residents to purchase their first home.
Weatherization Program: this grant program is designed to reduce heating and cooling costs by improving the energy efficiency to their homes.

A federal program that provides rental housing assistance for eligible low-income families, the elderly, and people with disabilities. With this program, residents pay less than 30% of their adjusted gross income for rent and utilities. Eligibility criteria include income eligibility, housekeeping, rental history, criminal history and Financial responsibility.

Christian non-profit organization that provides services for men who are homeless or want to resolve their problems with alcohol or drugs. The Transient Care Programs serves as an emergency shelter for men, providing chapel, shelter, meals and clothing. The Spiritual Life Recovery Program is a 16 week work orientated program for men and drug or alcohol addiction, providing counseling, recovery sessions, bible study and chapel.

The rental assistance program is an emergcy housing program to prevent homelessness. Funds provide money to put toward rent. Householder with children may be elegible for up to $1,000 in a 24 month period. Provides opportunities, resources to move to self-sufficiency.
