PENN CARES

Early Intervention (EI) is provided for children from birth – 3 years old who are at risk for, or have, disabilities or a delay such as, but not limited to, Down Syndrome, speech delay, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, hearing or vision loss, hydrocephalus, microcephalus, autism, developmental delay or neurological impairments. Each child is evaluated. Home-based education; physical, speech and occupational therapy for infants and toddlers.

Attendant Care allows adults with disabilities to remain in their homes by providing in-home personal care. CSPPPD provides training and assistance for adults with disabilities who wish to remain active, or live independently, in the community.

Elks Home Services Nurse Program provides counseling and support, in-home services, education, case management and advocacy for families.

AMAZING KIDS CLUB – AUTISM

Autism Day Treatment Program ‘The Amazing Kids’ Club’ is a specialized autism treatment program held in the Center for Childhood enhancement. The center uses research based treatment modalities from Applied Behavior Analysis and Relationship therapies. The curricula will focus on the main domains of development: play skills, socialization skill, communication skills, and safety /self-help skills. Treatment plans will be developed by highly trained Clinical Coordinators and will focus on individual and group goals. Family participation is a key to success. The on-site center would be available to children and adolescents on the Autism Spectrum, ages 2 to 18 (21 if still in school). English only. Takes medical assistance.
