The U.S. Department of State sponsors multiple programs for educational, cultural, and professional exchanges across the world. Programs allow American high school students to study abroad from two weeks to an academic year. Students live with host families and are immersed in local culture. Students may also participate in short-term exchanges in the U.S. or sign up to host an international exchange student. Full scholarships are available for students.
