Family Child Care
A Home Away From Home – Where Children Learn Through Play! The Family Child Care Program organizes care for children (2 weeks to 12 years of age) within a home environment with a licensed care provider located both on and off base within a 10-mile radius. The FCC offers unique care in special circumstances beyond traditional day care through the Expanded Child Care Program.

JBSA-LAK Child Development Program
JBSA-Lackland features three Child Development Centers (Lackland, Kelly Field, and Gateway) that offer the same activities and promote social, emotional, cognitive and physical developmental needs of each individual child from ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. Enriched activities are offered for children ages 3-5 and include programs like language, music, beginning reading skills, pre-writing, pre-math, science, nutrition, computer technology and social skills.

JBSA-RND Child Development Program (CDP)
The CDP welcomes children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years. The CDP provides activities and programs that support children’s social, emotional, physical and intellectual development. The program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The CDP is a USDA certified center, providing breakfast, lunch and two snacks each day.

JBSA-FSH Child Development Program
The Child Development Program’s mission is to support the morale and welfare of service members by offering comprehensive programs that improve and enhance their children’s well being. The CDP offers a developmentally age appropriate program for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.

JBSA-FSH Youth Programs
The JBSA-FSH Youth Programs offers recreation and educational programs for youth in grades 6th-12th. The activities within the program provide youth with many wide-ranging recreational, social, leadership and volunteer opportunities. Youth Programs also has a school age program that offers before and after school care for youth ages 5-12. Summer and holiday camps are available seasonally. School Age Programs offers clubs during the school year for a variety of interests and are affiliated with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and 4-H Clubs.

JBSA-Lackland Youth Programs includes programming for School Age care, Youth Sports, Teen Programs and extra curricular activities. JBSA-RND Youth Programs
Youth Programs (YP) provides a safe, supervised program based on the interests and needs of our children. Our curriculum focuses on ensuring all children have a positive experience that helps develop a sense of competence, sense of usefulness, sense of belonging and a sense of influence. Our activities and programs are designed to improve and maintain the physical and mental well-being of youth up to age 18. The YP facility has a gymnastics room, dance room, preteen/game room and teen room.

JBSA School Liaison Office (SLO)
With each move, military children face many school-related challenges. SLO is the central point of contact for commanders, military families, and local school systems on school-related matters for grades K-12.They can help ease the transition from one school to another (before and after a move) and help with navigating the school systems to ensure our military youth are given the opportunity to achieve their highest potential for academic success at any assigned location.
