The Children’s Advocacy Center of Delaware provides services in a child friendly setting in order to expedite the investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases while ensuring the victims receive immediate, effective and sensitive support.
These services include Forensic interviews of child victims and witnesses, mental health evaluation and referral, medical exams, community outreach, advocacy, and prevention.

The Division of Family Services investigates reports of child abuse, neglect and dependency. If an investigation determines that protective services are needed, the Division provides home-based assistance such as counseling, family preservation services, parent aides, transportation and shelter care. When in-home services are not sufficient to ensure child safety, the Division provides placement in a stable alternative setting. When children cannot be reuinted with their families, the Division places children into adoptive families.

Prevent Child Abuse Delaware is a statewide, private organization devoted to the prevention and treatment of all forms of child abuse and neglect. Prevent Child Abuse Delaware came to the First State in 1977, and now works with more than 60 Delaware schools, and serves over 35,000 children, parents, and other adults each year.

New Castle County: Child, Inc.

CHILD, Inc., is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to being advocates for and serving the needs of Delaware’s children. CHILD, Inc. especially works with children who may be troubled, dependent, neglected and abused.
CHILD, Inc. is the only children’s shelter and runaway center in the state of Delaware. It also runs programs that assist with parent education, foster care, and anger management.
