Al-Anon and Alateen Programs are support groups for families and friends affected by anothers drinking or alcoholism.
The Al-Anon Family Groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength, and hope in order to solve their common problems.

Alateen is a fellowship of young Al-Anon members. This group is predominantly teenagers who have been affected by someone else’s substance abuse.

The Alliance for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (AAPP) works to reduce the number of teenagers who are sexually active, become pregnant and become teen parents. The AAPP offers educational programs statewide for young people and their parents. It also serves physicians, educators, nonprofit groups and anyone else who provides care for teens and their families.

All Counties: ARC (A Resource Center for Youth)

ARC (A Resource Center for Youth) is a comprehensive counseling, educational and medical service program for adolescents, to help reduce risk-taking behaviors, especially those related to sexual health. Teens receive individual education and counseling each time they are seen for medical care. Parent and/or partner counseling is also available. Males and females 12 to 19 years old may receive services including birth control, STD Testing/Treatment, emergency contraception, and counseling.

Christiana Care’s Teen Clinic cares for teens and young adults, ages 12-25. The friendly clinic staff includes doctors and nurses who specialize in the unique health issues that teens and young adults face each day. A Teen Clinic case manager assists patients in finding resources in the community.

Delaware Adolescent Program, Inc (DAPI) is an alternative program with comprehensive services for pregnant teens. The program provides certified academic education (grades 6-12), pre and post natal health education, individual and group counseling, family life parenting and child development education, pregnancy prevention programs, resource and life skills facilitators program, and day care (3 weeks to 9 months).

Girls on the Run is a life-changing, experiential learning programs for girls age eight to thirteen years old. The programs combine training for a 3.1 mile running event with self-esteem enhancing, uplifting workouts. The goals of the programs are to encourage positive emotional, social, mental, spiritual and physical development.
