Columbus Cooling Stations & Resources to Beat the Heat!

Central Ohio remains under heat advisory until 8PM Friday, June 21 with heat indexes expected to reach 100 degrees. Families are advised to stay inside as much as possible and drink plenty of fluids. Check out the resources below for more ways to Beat the Heat!

Columbus Metropolitan Libraries
Wednesday, June 19: Main Library, Barnett, Hilltop, and Northern Lights locations Open as Cooling Centers 12-8PM
Friday & Saturday June 21 & 22: Main Library, Barnett, Hilltop, and Northern Lights locations Open for extended hours until 8PM
All 23 locations are air conditioned and provide comfortable seating, public computers with Internet access, free Wifi, and tons of great reading material!

Columbus Recreation and Parks Community Centers
Starting Wednesday, June 19: Dodge, Driving Park, Glenwood, Linden, and Marion-Franklin Centers Open 9AM-9PM until the heat wave subsides
All Public Pools Open 1-8PM with Free Admission
Spraygrounds Open 12-8PM
All Community Centers serve as Cooling Stations during regular operating hours
