What is an FQHC?

FQHCs (Federally Qualified Health Centers) are in most cities and many rural areas. They will help you, even if you have no health insurance. You pay what you can afford, based on your income.

FQHCs are open to all, regardless of their ability to pay. FQHCs use a sliding fee scale with discounts based on patients’ family size and income.

Locate a Federally Qualified Health Center with this health center locator tool where you can search for a health center by address, state, or county. The locator tool is managed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
