The New York District Attorney Internship Program is a robust internship that offers students residing hands-on experience with the Criminal Justice System. Interns help Assistant District Attorneys and other staff members in their work, attend presentations and trips, and also participate in a mock trial. Each participant will be paired with a staff member within the Office who will provide guidance and support. — Applicants must live in Manhattan or attend school in Manhattan (no exceptions will be made)
— Applicants must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors in high school at the time they apply (current freshmen may not apply)
Dates and Compensation
–Applicants must commit to attending one of the two available 4-week internship programs
—Virtual Session 1: July 6-30, 2021
—Virtual Session 2: August 2-27, 2021
–Interns will participate virtually Monday – Thursday with optional sessions on Friday

How to Apply
The application opens February 12, 2021. The deadline to apply is March 15, 2021, at 5:00 pm (Eastern Standard Time). Applicants must attach the following:
— A one-page resume
— A 300-word essay discussing why you want to intern at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office or describing your interest in criminal justice
