The Essential Plan is a health plan for New Yorkers with no premium for those who qualify. It covers all of the essential health benefits covered under the Qualified Health Plans offered on the Marketplace
Eligibility
Adults may be eligible if they: are U.S. citizens or meet immigration status requirements, an adult who is 19 – 64 years of age, New York resident, and meet income eligibility criteria as shown below.

Eligible consumers will pay either $20 monthly premium or nothing, depending on income. Some plans include additional benefits such as adult dental and vision coverage for an additional premium.
