Safe Kids USA
Safe Kids USA brings injury prevention directly to kids and their families by:
-Teaching families about child injury risks and prevention;
-Encouraging and conducting research on leading injury risks;
-Evaluating solutions for injury risks;
-Working to pass and improve child safety laws and regulations;
-Providing lifesaving devices such as child safety seats, helmets and smoke alarms to families who need them;
-Promoting corporate leadership in child safety through effective and sustainable partnerships.

Winnebago County Health Department
Winnebago County Health Department offers a variety of services including family planning (including pregnancy testing), teen pregnancy prevention, teen support programs, family case management, home visiting program coordination/referal, high risk prenatal/infant program,WIC, breastfeeding support, car seat safety, immunizations, lead screening and environmental assessment, tobacco cessation, STD testing, HIV/STD case management, well/septic/restaurant inspection, birth/death records, emergency preparedness, and refugee health screening, examinations, and referrals. Medicaid accepted as well as sliding scale fees. Varies by program. Hours vary by program.

Illinois Yellow Dot Program
Illinois Department of Transportation safety program that involves placement of a yellow decal on the rear driver’s side window of a car that indicates a yellow card is in the glove box containing critical personal and medical information. This information can help first responders better treat and care for an individual in case of an emergency.
