WELLSPAN BEHAVIORAL HEALTH OUTPATIENT

At WellSpan Health, psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and mental health professionals combine efforts to provide the most appropriate level of behavioral health care for people of all ages: children, adolescents and adults. Together, these individuals work in conjunction with area physicians, schools, businesses, governmental agencies, and social service organizations to address all aspects of mental health and addiction disorders. Offers treatment for a variety of mental health disorders like depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, phobia, PTSD, schizophrenia, substance abuse and mood disorders.

To make sure that individuals can access assessment, diagnosis and treatment and referral to the most appropriate level of care, WellSpan Behavioral Health offers a variety of outpatient services at locations throughout south central Pennsylvania. Services include individual therapy, family and group counseling and medication management by a psychiatrist. Biliningual Services not available. For adults they accept medical assistance on Tuesdays.

Most of their offices have been consolidated to provide better care and access.

Olivia’s House: A Grief and Loss Center for Children

Olivia’s House is an organization of caregiving professionals and volunteers committed to supporting grieving children. It’s purpose is to facilitate healing through grief and loss education. This is accomplished by providing no-cost services such as: Educational and social support program for grieving pre-school, elementary, middle and high school aged and young adults and their caregivers; Individual and family grief counseling referrals to qualified professionals; Grief education programs to schools, caregiving professionals, and other helping organizations; A public lending library containing resources on children’s grief.

Evaluation of patients of all ages to determine need for inpatient psychiatric admission. If inpatient hospitilization is needed for a patient, crisis intervention will do the necessary referral to the inatient psychiatric unit that will accept the patient. Crisis also makes referrals to partial hospitilization programs. Service available through York Hospital Emergency Department. No counseling is done through this service: only evaluation and referral. Provides information and referral for drug and alcohol rehab.

AMAZING KIDS CLUB – AUTISM/TRUE NORTH WELLNESS

Autism Day Treatment Program ‘The Amazing Kids’ Club’ is a specialized autism treatment program held in the Center for Childhood enhancement. Then center uses research based treatment modalities from Applied Behavior Analysis and Relationship therapies. The curricula will focus on the main domains of development: play skills, socialization skill, communication skills, and safety /self-help skills. Treatment plans will be developed by highly trained Clinical Coordinators and will focus on individual and group goals. Family participation is a key to success. The on-site center would be available to children and adolescents on the Autism Spectrum, ages 2 to 18 (21 if still in school).
