MHS Genesis: Appointments, Results, Referrals

MHS GENESIS is the Military Health System’s new electronic health record. When fully deployed, MHS GENESIS will provide a single health record for service members, veterans, and their families.

MHS GENESIS Patient Portal is a secure website available 24/7 that gives you access to your health information. Through the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal, you can:
– View health information
– Schedule appointments
– Communicate securely with providers
– Request prescription renewals
– View notes from your clinical visits and certain lab/test results, such as blood tests.

The MHS Nurse Advice Line is available 24/7 by phone, web chat, and video chat.

Contact the MHS Nurse Advice Line 24/7 to:
– Get evidence-based health care advice from a registered nurse
– Find an urgent care or emergency care facility
– Receive recommendations for the most appropriate level of care
– Schedule same or next day appointments when recommended by a registered nurse and enrolled to a
military hospital or clinic
– Get an online “absence excuse” or “sick slip” when medically appropriate–subject to service
command requirements

America the Beautiful – National Parks Pass and Federal Recreational Lands Pass

This pass is your ticket to more than 2,000 throughout the U.S. It covers entrance fees at National Parks and National Wildlife Refuges, as well as standard amenity fees at National Forests, National Grasslands, and lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management and Bureau of Reclamation. Covers fees for a drive and all passengers in a personal vehicle at per-vehicle fee areas (or up to 4 adults at sites that charge per person).

Most Federal sites where Passes are accepted sell the Pass. Free passes will be given in person at local San Antonio Missions

Child Care Assistance Program

Air Force Child Care Fee Assistance was created to provide authorized Active Duty personnel assistance in locating, selecting, and offsetting the cost of civilian child care when on-base child care is not available, or a viable option for the service member and their family. The programs available through Child Care Aware(r) of America provide subsidies for eligible military dependents enrolled in quality commercial child care programs throughout the United States. Child Care Aware(r) of America authorizes subsidy amounts based on total family income for those eligible Air Force families, and supplies monthly payments directly to the prospective child care provider.

EFMP 
DD Form 2792 is the “Family Member Medical Summary”  that is completed to identify a family member with special medical needs and for the enrollment in the Exceptional Family Member Program.

DD2792-1 is the “Early Intervention/Special Education Summary”  and is completed to identify a family member with early intervention or special education needs.

Both of these forms will assist military assignment personnel in matching the Family members special Medical needs against the availability of  services at the projected duty station.

The TRICARE Dental Program (TDP) is a voluntary dental plan. Sponsors can enroll through the Beneficiary Web Enrollment website.

You can enroll if you’re a:

  • Family member of an active duty service member.
  • Family member of a National Guard/Reserve member.
  • National Guard/Reserve Member who isn’t on active duty or covered by the Transitional Assistance Management Program (TAMP).
