ASHA Ray of Hope

Connects victims of domestic violence in the South Asian community to resources, case management, crisis intervention and provides advocacy. They provide interpreter and transportation services as well. Victims can call the free, confidential hotline for help and support.

Asian American Community Services (AACS)

Provides social services for Asian, Asian American and Pacific Islanders in Central Ohio. The agency advocates for community sustainability through its core services:

  • Family Support Program (FSP) provides services to crime victims. They help their clients navigate emergency assistance, transportation and referrals to partner agencies. In addition, they also provide support to senior citizens through our Senior Outreach Program and youth programming, Healthy Asian Youth (HAY).
  • 24/7 Interpretation and Translation (I/T) services to hospitals, social service agencies, police, courts, schools, and other public and private organizations.
  • Asian Health Initiative (AHI) offers a weekly free health clinic every Monday, by appointment only.
  • Community Engagement services include English as a Second Language (ESL) classes and computer literacy classes.

Community Refugee & Immigration Services (CRIS)

Serves refugees, asylees and immigrants in central Ohio by providing the following services:

  • Core services to newly-arriving refugee families and individuals directly assigned to their agency for resettlement
  • Early intervention program and parenting classes for limited English proficient (LEP) people
  • Job training, mentoring and ESL classes
  • Provide legal representation to those with immigration services (VOCA Program)
  • Health and wellness programs for recently-arrived clients of CRIS’ Resettlement Program

Ethiopian Tewahedo Social Services (ETSS)

Helps immigrants and refugees from all countries establish roots and gain self-sufficiency in Central Ohio. They offer job training, mentoring, English language classes, after school tutoring for children, case management for victims of domestic violence and much more. They provide these youth, adult and family care programming’s at various sites throughout Central Ohio. Visit the website for a list of all the program sites.

Ohio Hispanic Coalition

Offers several free services to the Latino community including homework help, after school programs, summer camps, 24/7 translation and interpretation services, ESL and citizenship classes for adults, a tobacco cessation program, free car seat checks, and a support group for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
