The Sharing Place Thrift store sells gently used quality clothing, furniture, and other household items at a discounted price.
 
The store also provides free emergency goods to people in urgent need in area codes 10029 and 10035 when connected through the LSA Family Health Service, a nonprofit that provides food pantry, health, education, and family support services to families in crisis in East Harlem and surrounding communities.

Call 718-405-9111 and ask for free baby formula. WIC members can have baby formula delivered FREE (prescription or non-prescription formulas) to all New York City boroughs. For special baby formula, please provide the name of the prescribed formula to the staff and they will verify with you if covered by WIC.

For WIC exempt formulas, your pediatrician will need to provide medical documentation to your WIC office. Your social worker may assist with this request.

Para leche de formula prescrita por el doctor, llama a la farmacia y describe el nombre de la leche. El trabajador de la farmacia verificará si la formula es cubierta por WIC.

The HopeLine Diaper Center

 

The HopeLine Center is a non-profit organization that offers diapers and baby supplies to mothers in need. It is located at 884 East 163rd St, Bronx, NY.

 
To be eligible for supplies, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • You have a child who is two years old and younger who resides with you (including expecting moms with other children).
  • You reside in the New York City area.
  • Receive WIC and/or SNAP (food stamps).
  •  

    To receive baby supplies, please schedule an appointment at the Diaper Center by calling (718) 402-1212 for a slot on Monday between 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. On the day of your appointment, don’t forget to bring your photo ID, the child’s birth certificate, proof of food assistance benefits through WIC or SNAP, and a shopping cart or bags.
     

  • To prove your assistance with WIC, you can simply show your eWIC app on your cellphone, a WIC card with a letter or note from WIC office.
  • To prove you have food stamps or SNAP, show a recent budget letter. Ask for a SNAP budget letter by logging into your NYC’s ACCESS HRA at www.nyc.gov/accesshra and request the household’s SNAP budget.
