Each summer, PAL provides children ages 5-13 living in communities facing high rates of poverty and crime with Summer Day Camps, free of charge.
 
PAL’s Summer Day Camps operate in all five boroughs and are open Monday through Friday, from 8am to 6pm. More details of the program on the PAL Summer Camps website. Download the Summer Day Camp Application Form.

The NYC Parks Summer Day Camp program offers children ages 6 to 13 a wide array of activities for a fun summer. Campers engage in sports, fitness, and outdoor adventures while taking part in many of New York City’s rich cultural and educational opportunities.
 
Eligibility
All children from ages 6-13 residing in New York.
 
Activities and Dates
— Activities include arts and crafts, field games, sports clinics, computer classes, STEAM programs (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics), cultural and educational trips, and nature exploration with the Urban Park Rangers. *Swimming is not a guaranteed activity this year.*
— Specific activities, dates, and trip destinations will depend upon the camp location. Check them out on this link.
— Cost: $25 per-child registration fee. Full camp fee, (Regular Day $500, Extended Day $575.
— Camp will take place from July 6 – August 18, 2023.
 
How to Apply
— The program is extremely popular and registration is conducted through a lottery.
— You can enter the lottery any time from March 8 – 21, 2023. The lottery is no longer accepting submissions.
