Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention Program (SAVI)

SAVI is a Mount Sinai program that is available for people experiencing IPV.
 
Services
► Short-term counseling for survivors of rape, sexual assault, child abuse, domestic violence, and intimate partner violence and support services for friends and families of survivors
► Advocacy
► Referral for psychotherapy
► Education
 
If you are a victim of a crime within New York State, you may be eligible to receive benefits like financial assistance to pay for medical bills, counseling expenses, burial and funeral costs, and lost wages. Visit the Office of Victim Services at ovs.ny.gov to learn more.

If you or someone you know is going through domestic violence or gender-based violence you can contact the Family Justice Centers from Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.

The Family Justice Centers (FJC) will connect you to organizations that provide free and confidential assistance such as: shelter and housing, safety planning, application to public benefits, mental health and counseling services, information about job training, legal help, and childcare for children age 3+.

 

Los centros Family Justice Centers (FJC) la/lo conectarán con asistencia gratuita y confidencial para: albergues y vivienda, planeación en seguridad, aplicación a beneficios públicos, servicios de salud mental y consejería, entrenamiento laboral, ayuda legal, y cuidado infantil (≥3 años).
 
Si usted o alguien que usted conoce esta batallando con violencia doméstica o violencia de género, contacte a Family Justice Centers de lunes a viernes desde las 9 AM hasta las 5PM.
